AAS Conference 2023 - Macquarie University
From the 28th November to 1st of December 2023, five members of UQAS had the opportunity to attend the annual Australian Anthropological Society Conference. This year it was held at Macquarie University, Sydney - a very scenic campus indeed. This amazing event brings together anthropologists from around Australia, and the world, to present and discuss their latest works. It afforded UQAS members the chance to mix and mingle with working anthros, gain exposure to the latest methods and topics being explored, and perhaps most importantly, the chance to present their own work in a professional setting and gain direct feedback from those very same professionals.
We would like to thank both #UQ and #ANSA for assisting with funding for the trip and their recognition of the value and importance for students to attend such an event. It goes a long way for student’s development both within and outside the University. Of course, we would also like to thank the organisers of AAS2023 for their hard work and dedication in putting the conference together!
